Between appointments, your paediatrician, OT, or psychologist is guessing. They see your child once every 4โ8 weeks and ask "how's it been going?" โ and you're supposed to summarise 6 weeks of school mornings from memory. KidsFocus fixes this.
Two ways to share progress
1. Export a PDF (works with any clinician)
- Go to your dashboard โ Insights โ "Export report".
- Pick the date range. Last 30 days is the sweet spot for a 6-week appointment cycle.
- Tap "Generate PDF". You get a clean one-pager showing routine completion rates, Focus Stars earned, friction hotspots, and a week-by-week trend line.
- Email it or bring the printout. Done.
2. Connect directly (if your clinician uses KidsFocus Clinic)
- Ask your clinician if they have a KidsFocus referral code. More and more paediatricians and OTs are using it.
- Enter the code in Settings โ Clinician access.
- Choose what they see. You control the switches โ task completion (yes/no), specific task names (yes/no), notes (yes/no).
- Your clinician now sees live data between appointments and can even assign specific tasks tagged "From your therapist".
๐ Your data. Your call.
You can disconnect from a clinician anytime with one tap. The clinician sees nothing after that. We never share data without your explicit permission.
What's actually in the PDF
- Header: your child's first name, age, date range, generated date
- Routine completion % per routine per week
- Focus Stars earned and trend
- Top friction tasks โ the 3 tasks that caused the most tough moments
- Notable wins โ the tasks with the biggest improvement
- Your parent notes (optional, opt-in per note)
๐ก Pro move
Email the PDF to your clinician's practice manager 24 hours before the appointment. They'll actually read it before you walk in. Appointments get 30% more productive.
What clinicians say when they see it
"I used to spend the first 10 minutes asking parents how the last few weeks went. Now I open with 'I saw Sam had a rough Wednesday two weeks ago โ tell me about that.' The appointment starts 10 minutes further ahead." โ Dr Anisha Rao, paediatrician, Sydney
