The Child View

Your child's day: check off tasks, earn stars.

This is the screen your kid will live on. Here's the tour.

⏱️ 3 minutes🧒 Kid🎯 Result: they can run their own routine

The Earn tab: today, sorted into Now, Next and Later

The child view has four tabs along the bottom — Earn, Focus, Rewards and Me — and Earn is where the day happens. It opens with a greeting ("Hey, Charlie!") and the two numbers that matter to a kid:

Below that, today's tasks are sorted for them — no prioritising required, which is exactly the hard part for an ADHD brain:

The KidsFocus Earn tab greeting Charlie with 385 Stars and 6 strong days this week, showing the NOW task 10 minutes of reading worth 20 stars with I'm Done, Start Me and I'm stuck buttons, the NEXT task Tidy up toys, and LATER items for logging sleep and outdoor play
The Earn tab: one NOW card with the magic buttons, then NEXT and LATER. Kids never face a wall of tasks — just the next right thing.

The magic tap (and two clever buttons)

  1. Do the task in real life. The app is the scoreboard — the win happens off-screen.
The NOW card on the child Earn tab showing one current task with its star value and action buttons
The NOW card: one task, front and centre, with its star value.
  2. Tap I'm Done. The stars fly into their balance. Instant cause and effect. (On your Parent Dashboard it lands in Pending Approvals for your tick.)
The three buttons under the NOW task: I'm Done, Start Me and I'm stuck
Three honest buttons: I'm Done, Start Me, I'm stuck.
  3. Or tap Start Me to launch straight into doing mode — one tap, no deliberating.
The Start Me sheet breaking the task into small guided steps with a current step card
Start Me breaks the task into tiny guided steps.
  4. Stuck? There's a button for that. I'm stuck flags the task for you — your kid can ask for help without melting down or wandering off.
The I'm stuck sheet offering reasons and a smaller first step to get going
I'm stuck asks what's wrong and offers a smaller first step.

🔗 See all my tasks & My planner

Under the day's cards, See all my tasks → shows the full list and My planner → shows the weekly rhythm you set up in the Weekly Planner. The Earn tab keeps today simple; those links are there when they want the bigger picture.

The Me tab: their trophy wall

The Me tab collects their stats — Stars, strong days this week, tasks done, focus sessions — plus the Share Your Success! panel, which bundles their wins into one screen they can proudly show a grandparent or send with the Share with Family button.

The KidsFocus Me tab for Charlie showing 385 Stars, 6 strong days this week, 42 tasks done and 9 focus sessions, the Share Your Success panel with a Share with Family button, and menu rows for Style, Health and Settings
The Me tab: their numbers, their bragging rights, and the doorways to Style, Health and Settings.

💡 Parent tip

For the first week, do the check-off together. You're teaching the loop: do task → tap → Stars → reward. Once it's a habit, step back and let them own it.
